Repairing
kitchen knife with limited resources would be very extra ordirary,
considering different techniques, methods will depend on the
availability of materials. Since I'm reparing it indigenously i use the
"gobilangs" techniques which uses burn plastic to mold a handle of the
said knifes. follow the steps and procedures below:
Step 1: Prepare the necessary materials ( candle, gloves, rag,
available used plastic containers, unused metal spoon, lighter, tie
wire, hammer, long nose pliers, and the broken kitchen knife)
Step 2: Clean the handle surface of the knife using rag, make sure there
is no more foreign contamination like dirt, water, and etc.
Step 3: Check if you have base connection as your handle that will join
the molded plastic.
Step 4: Use gloves and light the candle to start burning plastics and
let droplets of burned plastic hit the base connection of your damage
kitchen knife. Make sure to check from time to time if the amount of
burned plastic droplets until it satisfy the regular size of the kitchen
knifes handle.
Step 5: Smoothen the kitchen knifes handle by burning the unused metal
spoon and molding it on the surface of the kitchen knifes handle.
